Breaking junior college stereotypes

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WHLT) — 

The debates and stereotypes athletes’ encounter while transitioning from high school to collegiate athletics is a conversation that may never die. Some may think that the athletes are incapable of learning on a higher level, lesser athletes than four year recruits, or don’t have a long future in sports. While this may or not be true we sat down with Junior College head football coach Steve Buckley and one of his former athletes wide receiver Trevor Terry to discuss these topics in detail to shine light on the process and how it affects those who are most important, the athlete faced with a big decision.
