Local Life USA Player of the Week: Tyquan Ulmer – Laurel

So far this season, Todd Breland says Tyquan Ulmer's completion percentage is the highest he's ever had for a quarterback as head football coach of the Laurel Golden Tornadoes.

The Golden Tornadoes really appear to have found something in first-year starting quarterback Tyquan Ulmer. Long using his athletic abilities all over the field, the senior is now the full-time starter under center upon the departure of Laurel’s all-time leading passer Keon Howard. Ulmer is certainly leaving a mark of his own, though, having passed for 329 yards and five touchdowns against West Jones on Friday. He added 93 yards and a score on 12 carries against the Region 3 Class 5A crosstown rival, accounting for all six of his team’s touchdowns in a 42-17 triumph over the Mustangs.
