UPDATE: 09/01/2016 08:20am Delays related to a vehicle fire on I-59 at US 11, South Hattiesburg at Exit 60 are now estimated at approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
MDOT indicates that the right lane of southbound traffic is still blocked at this time.
UPDATE: 09/01/2016 7:43am The incident on US 98 at Weathersby has been cleared.
UPDATE: 09/01/2016 7:33am Residual delays are expected on both I-59 and US 98. Traffic is moving, but authorities are still asking drivers to use caution in the area.
UPDATE: 09/01/2016 6:44am Expected delays are now estimated at between 30 and 50 minutes.
Law enforcement is directing traffic at the scene. Drivers are advised to use extra caution in the area.
An incident on US 98 past Weathersby Road in Lamar has the right shoulder blocked in the eastbound lane. Delays are estimated at approximately 35 minutes.
UPDATE: 09/01/2016 6:21am MDOT says expected delays have been reduced to approximately 30 minutes.

HATTIESBURG, Mississippi (WHLT) – Traffic delays of up to 45 minutes are expected southbound on I-59 at US 11 in South Hattiesburg near Exit 60.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) says all southbound lanes are blocked because of a vehicle fire.
WHLT will provide more information as soon as it is available.
