LAUREL, Miss. (WJTV) — Officials from Wayne Farms said they temporarily stopped production Tuesday after a “foreign material” was found on of their lines at the Laurel facility.
They said the material was found at the beginning of the second shift. They said all product was put on hold for further investigation.
The company said they are working with the USDA as they investigate the situation.
Wayne Farms LLC. operates 11 facilities that produce more than 2.6 billion pounds of poultry products each year.
