HATTIESBURG- Miss – Southern Pines Spay & Neuter Clinic will hold the sixth annual free rabies vaccination event for pets of the City of Hattiesburg and Forrest County on Saturday, September 26th.
Pets receiving a rabies vaccination must be at least 3 months old and in good health. All dogs must be on a leash and cast must be in pet carriers.
According to a press release from Southern Pines, “To prevent incidences of rabies in the state, Mississippi law and local ordinances require current rabies vaccinations for cats and dogs who are at least three months of age. While Rabies vaccinations are required by law, some pet owners are unable to keep their pets current with Rabies vaccinations because of financial hardships. This is a great opportunity for pets in Hattiesburg and Forrest County to receive rabies vaccinations at no cost to their owners.”
The event will be held at the Southern Pines Spay & Neuter Clinic at 1304 Hardy Street from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
