RANKIN COUNTY – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 17-year-old described as a “runaway.”
According to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to a call in the Avalon Subdivision in Rankin County in reference to Jasmin Delaney Taylor.
She is described by police as a white female. Her father reported the he last saw her on September 1, 2015 around 1 a.m. at her residence. Jackson police also saw Taylor on the same day in the Cooper Road area and she gave officers a false name and birth date. Police did not know at the time of the encounter that she was a runaway or listed on NCIC, according to an official release.
Reportedly, Taylor may be with 20-year-old George Jermaine Terry of Pearl, MS. He is described as a black male and police say he “is currently evading arrest for felony warrants issued by Pearl Police.”
Pearl police are being assisted by The United States Marshal’s service in finding Terry.
Taylor is currently listed as a runaway in the database of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
