UPDATE: According to Chief Deputy Eric Hill, the two men suspected of killing 40-year-old Anthony Bridges had their initial court appearance this morning.
Kendrick Waters and Chandler Yeend were charged with first degree murder. Waters is also being charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Jasper County deputies said Bridges can be seen by surveillance video getting into a vehicle in Jones County with the suspects. It’s unknown at this time if the victim knew Waters and Yeend.
Hill also said the suspects and Bridges were seen “on camera communicating in the store briefly while in Jones County.”
Waters is a convicted felon and was denied bond. Yeend’s bond was set at $500,000.
UPDATE: The Jasper County sheriff says two people are now in custody and a vehicle has been recovered in the investigation into a deadly shooting on County Road 8.
JASPER COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Sheriff’s Deputies in Jasper County are investigating a murder.
Sheriff Chris Sargent said 40-year-old Anthony Bridges of Heidelberg was pronounced dead on the scene.
The sheriff said they were responding to the shooting call around 9:15 p.m. on County Road 8. He said Bridges was shot several times.
The do not have any suspects in custody at this time.
