JACKSON, MS – National Guard Public Information Officer Lt. Col. Christian Patterson says 10 store-front recruiting offices will be closing.
He says employees working in these locations will be relocated and may be moved to armories or bases close to the current locations.
Recruiting offices on Mississippi college campuses will remain open.
As for executing Governor Bryant’s executive order, Lt. Col. Patterson explains that some select personnel across the state will be armed, but they are still working out the details.
He also there’s currently no timeline for moving the recruiters, but they are being actively reassigned for safety reasons.
