Brad joined the WJTV News Channel 12 team as the morning meteorologist in August of 2013. You can catch him at 5am, 6am and Noon, Monday through Friday on News Channel 12 This Morning.
He is originally from Guilford, Indiana although his most recent job was in Anchorage, Alaska… he’s still trying acclimate to the heat and humidity.
Through college, Brad was a co-owner of a storm chasing company that provided footage of severe storms, tornadoes and hurricanes to several Midwest television stations, CNN and other national television outlets. In 2011, he intercepted Hurricane Irene in Beaufort, North Carolina, he has forecasted chased several major severe weather outbreaks and he has chased in nearly every state east of the Rockies.
Brad earned a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology and a minor in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana in 2012. After graduating, Brad accepted a chief meteorologist position in one of the most beautiful markets in the country, Anchorage. He forecasted anything and everything from volcanic ash plumes to Jökulhlaups to the Aurora Borealis and of course plenty of winter weather. However, one (very very long) winter was enough and Brad decided to move back to the Lower-48 to once again pursue his passion, severe weather!
On the weekends, Brad enjoys traveling and exploring all that Mississippi has to offer, especially finding good food and good people.
You can contact Brad through e-mail, on Facebook, and Twitter.
