A disturbance to our south is bringing some rain to southwest Mississippi but those showers will not be moving in our direction. We will stay partly cloudy in the metro Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning. That will keep our temperatures in the mid 40s for lows. A dry cold front will sweep through during the day Wednesday. Winds will pick up behind the front Wednesday from the north at about 10 to 15 mph and temperatures will only warm into the upper 50s for highs. Clear skies Wednesday night will lead to near freezing temperatures again Thursday morning. Thanksgiving will be a fantastic day with lots of sunshine and highs once again in the upper 50s to lwoer 60s. If you’re going to be out early shopping either on Thanksgiving or Black Friday you’ll need to bundle up because temperatures will be in the lower to mid 30s both mornings. The Egg Bowl in Starkville will also be cold. The game kicks off at 6:30pm Thursday night when temperatures will be in the mid 40s. Temps will be in the upper 30s by the end of the game. More sunshine is expected through the weekend and into next week. Eventually highs will warm back into the 70s by next Tuesday.
