HATTIESBURG, Miss. -August 29th will be the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
It will also mark 10 years since the original performance of The Katrina Project: Hell and High Water.
The award-winning play is written by local playwright Michael Marks.
It was recognized by the Mississippi Drama Festival, and even performed before congress in Washington D.C.
The play follows a divers group of characters as they reflect on the aftermath from the storm. Directors are rebooting the performance for the storm’s anniversary.
Auditions for the revival production of The Katrina Project will be held May 18th and 19th at Hattiesburg High School.
Auditions begin at 6:30 p.m. both days.
The auditions are open to all ages. However, adults and mature teenagers are requested.
