The following press release is from the Hattiesburg-Laurel Airport.

The Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport Authority is proud to announce new service on American Eagle to Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX. Service will begin around November 5, 2014. The two flights a day will be on a 50 passenger jet and will be shared with the community of Meridian. Flight schedules are still being developed along with pricing and integration into the American Airlines system.

American Eagle will replace Silver Airways to Atlanta. Silver filed to leave the Pine Belt and now that American is assuming the EAS route, Silver will be allowed to depart.
