POPLARVILLE, Miss – For the second year in a row Pearl River Community College receives national recognition.
According to a survey by CNN Money Report, PRCC is the 17th best in preparing students for four-year institutions.
Dr. William Lewis, president of PRCC says, twelve hundred schools were considered in the survey, so they feel like they’re definitely improving the campus. “You know the ultimate goal, which is a real challenge for us, is that one hundred percent of our graduates would move on to higher education.”
Pearl River’s sixty-eight percent transferring rate moved them up one spot from last year’s ranking. And moving up is something Lewis says they hope to continue doing.
PRCC tied with Rend Lake College in Illinois and Ellsworth Community College in Iowa.
