More than 25-hundred students are
bused to Hattiesburg Public Schools each day.
The school district has 37 school
buses but 35 of those are damaged.
Windows are busted out, glass is
everywhere. Even after the buses are repaired, a thorough check will be needed
for each of them before they can be used.
“We sustained major damage to our

facility maintenance at Hattiesburg schools says about 8 local school districts
from across the state are helping with transportation.

Officials are still assessing the
damage done to the transportation complex. Burton says they're expecting an estimated
dollar amount to be released on Friday. As for now officials are trying to work
around the destruction – operating out of Hattiesburg high school's parking
